Where to stay in the Brecon Beacons? We think we have the perfect spot.
Beacons View holiday accommodation is located in Merthyr Cynog, a small rural community in the foothills of the Epynt mountain range, and just outside the northern boundary of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
This means we are a short drive from the town of Brecon, and look out on the most spectacular views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. We also have Mynydd Epynt on our doorstep.
Merthyr Cynog is a quiet, rural area, not to be confused with Merthyr Tydfil. The hamlet is known for its sweeping countryside, it’s distinctive red soil, and its 5th-century early monastic church, (the name translates to ‘shrine of Cynog’ or ‘Cynog the martyr’).
